I’m finally getting back into it. I hadn’t bothered bringing my big Nikon to university with me, mainly because I didn’t think anything particularly über-photo worthy was going on and I had an iPhone that was far more convenient to carry. I still have my iPhone, but when living in a city that’s a mish-mash of ancient Roman walls, historical Medieval walls, gorgeous Renaissance walls, and flashy modern walls…there’s loads of awesome stuff that tends to accumulate around them. The stone buildings look fantastic at night when spattered with neon light from the Chinese restaurant down the street. Wet cobblestones (as painful as they are when bike-riding) give rather flattering reflections of the Duomo after a rainy night. There’s plenty around to see and photograph, so I’m glad to provide those photos when I can.
I’ve created a Facebook album on my profile for them, obviously, but I’ll post choice ones here as well for those of you who aren’t my friends…because let’s face it, with a public blog, I definitely have no idea who some of you are or where you come from. XD
I use a bit of Photoshop here and there to get the lighting right and, of course, make some pretty awesome color changes. Black-and-white will always be chiq!!!
